প্রশ্ন A1. Discuss in groups (দলবদ্ধভাবে) what you see in the pictures.

Answer:

Babla : What can you see in the pictures?

Hasan : In the pictures, I can see different situations (অবস্থা) of floods (বন্যা).

Shahjahan : Water has flooded (প্লাবিত করেছে) houses.

Ifran : In picture 3, I can see floods throughout (সর্বত্র) the village.

Babla : It seems that there is scarcity (ঘাটতি) of drinking water and food.

প্রশ্ন A3. Write down (লিখে ফেল) a few sentences (কিছু বাক্য) about how people suffer (ভোগে) if there is too much water.

Answer:

If there is too much water, people suffer a lot. Too much water floods everything such as crops, houses, domestic animals etc. People cannot collect pure drinking water. Diarrhoea breaks out in the area. People have to lose many things. They become helpless and shelterless.

Answer:

In the pictures, we can see the sufferings of people caused by too little water. A farmer is helpless because there is no rainfall. He cannot grow crops for that. A little boy cannot bath because there is no water in the tap. A lot of people are standing in a queue to collect water. They have come out of their houses for water.

Answer:

People suffer in many ways for too little water. Farmer cannot grow crops because of too little water. Children cannot bath. People suffer for collecting drinking water and many more.
