Next week Farabi comes to visit Flora in her house (পরের সপ্তাহে ফারাবি ফ্লোরার বাড়িতে তার সাথে দেখা করতে আসে). They are having a chat (তারা আড্ডা দিচ্ছে).

Can you remember your first day at school, Flora (ফ্লোরা তুমি কি তোমার বিদ্যালয়ের ১ম দিন মনে করতে পার)? Farabi asks (ফারাবি জিজ্ঞাসা করল).

Oh, yes, I can, Flora says (ফ্লোরা বলল, ও, হ্যাঁ, আমি মনে করতে পারি). I can recall exactly what happened (যা যা ঘটেছিল তা হুবহু আমি মনে করতে পারি). Would you like to hear it (তুমি কি শুনতে চাও)?

I’d love to, says Farabi (ফারাবি বলল, আমি শুনতে চাই). Please tell me (দয়া করে আমাকে বল).

Okay, says Flora (ঠিক আছে, বলল ফ্লোরা). It was 2006 (এটা ছিল ২০০৬). I was then 6 years old (তখন আমার বয়স ছিল ৬ বছর). One day my mother said, Flora, you’re going to start your school tomorrow (একদিন আমার মা আমাকে বলল, ফ্লোরা, তুমিকাল থেকে বিদ্যালয়ে যাওয়া শুরু করছ).

I was very excited (আমি খুবই উত্তেজিত ছিলাম). I couldn’t think of anything else (আমি আর অন্য কিছু চিন্তা করতে পারছিলাম না). I was always thinking about the school, the teachers and the students of our school (আমি সবসময় আমার বিদ্যালয়, শিক্ষকবৃন্দ এবং ছাত্রছাত্রীদের সম্পর্কে ভাবছিলাম). I couldn’t even sleep well that night (এমনকি ঐ রাতে আমি ঠিকমত ঘুমাতে পারিনি).

The next morning my mother woke me up early in the morning (পরের দিন সকালে আমার মা আমাকে খুব সকালে ঘুম থেকে জাগিয়ে দেন). I had a bath and put on my best clothes (আমি গোসল সেরে আমার সেরা জামাকাপড় পরলাম). Then I had breakfast and started for the school with my mother (তারপর নাস্তা করে মায়ের সাথে স্কুলের উদ্দেশ্যে রওনা দিলাম).

The school was not very far from our home (আমাদের বাড়ি থেকে স্কুল খুব বেশি দূরে ছিল না). So we walked all the way (তাই আমরা সব পথ হেঁটে যাই).
