 What Should We do? – আমাদের কি করা উচিত?

প্রশ্ন A1. Make a list (তালিকা) of the places the friends wanted to go to.

       Why did they want to go (যেতে চায়) these places?

Answer:

A list of the places (জায়গাসমূহের তালিকা) the friends wanted to go to –

1. Kuakata

2. Chimbuk mountains

3. The Sundarbans.

They wanted (চেয়েছিলেন) to go to these places:

1. Because they have not been to these places before.

2. Because the places are interesting (আনন্দঘন).

3. Because the places looks fantastic (চমৎকার).

4. Because they can see some wild animals (বন্য প্রাণী) and take pictures (ছবি তোলা) of the forests (বন) and the sea (সমুদ্র).

5. Because Azim has wanted to climb a mountain (পাহাড়ে চড়তে চেয়েছিল).

They want to go these places (জায়গাগুলো) they have a week’s vacation (ছুটি) next week and they want to enjoy the beach (সৈকত) and try to climb mountain (পর্বত আরোহন) also want to see wild animals (বন্য প্রাণী).

প্রশ্ন A2. Think of a place (একটি জায়গার চিন্তা কর) you would like to go to. Now write down (লিখে ফেল) a few sentences about where you want to go, why you want to go there, who want to go with.

Answer:

I want to go to the Sundarbans (সুন্দরবন). There are a lot of wild animals (বন্য প্রাণী) in the Sundarbans. I have always wanted to see wild animal in my own eyes (নিজ চোঁখে). When I see wild animals on TV (টেলিভিশন), I think of going there. It is not possible for me to go there alone (একাকী). So, I want to go there with my parents (পিতা-মাতা).

Language Focus:

For suggestions, we often use these expressions (অভিব্যক্তি): What should we do? Why don’t we do that? How about doing that? Let’s do that, etc.

প্রশ্ন A3. Write short dialogues (কথোপকথন) for the following situations (পরিস্থিতি). Use the expressions (অভিব্যক্তি) in the language Focus (ভাষা প্রয়োগ).

a. You and your friends want to do a class project (শ্রেণীর কাজ). Discuss and decide (আলোচনা কর এবং সিদ্ধান্ত নাও) what you want to do.

b. You and your friends want to buy a gift (পুরষ্কার) for your teacher on his/her birthday (জন্মদিন).

Shati : Right, what can we do for that?

Rama : We can draw posters. They will contain our important subjects of study.

Shahjahan : Why don’t we write wall magazine?3

Irfan : Good! well magazine can be helpful!

Shahjahan : Well, how about making a drama?

Sathi : I think all the ideas are very good.

Shahjahan : Let’s try them.

Lata : Tomorrow is our teacher’s birthday. What should we do on his birthday?

Rabeya : We can buy a gift for him.

Bubly : We can buy a shirt and pant for him.

Irfan : Why don’t we buy a showpiece?

Lata : This is good.

Rabeya : How about a mobile phone?

Bubly : Excellent idea!

Irfan : Right! Friends, let’s buy a mobile phone.
