It is a school holiday (এটি বিদ্যালয় বন্ধের দিন). Flora has come to visit Farabi (ফ্লোরা ফারাবির সাথে দেখা করতে এসেছে). They are talking (তারা কথা বলছে). Flora wants to know about the prize-giving ceremony of Farabi’s school (ফ্লোরা ফারাবির বিদ্যালয়ের পুরষ্কার বিতরণি অনুষ্ঠান সম্পর্কে জানতে চায়).
Yesterday was our school prize-giving day, Farabi says (ফারাবি বলে, গতকাল ছিল আমাদের বিদ্যালয়ের পুরষ্কার বিতরণীর দিন). On this occasion our school auditorium and its dais were brightly decorated (এই অনুষ্ঠান উপলক্ষে আমাদের বিদ্যালয়ের মিলনায়তন এবং এর মঞ্চ জাকজমকপূর্ণভাবে সাজানো হয়েছিল).
Prizes were also neatly displayed on a separate table on the dais (পুরষ্কারগুলোও মঞ্চের উপর পৃথক একটি টেবিলে প্রদর্শন করা হয়েছিল). All the students were present at the function (সব ছাত্রছাত্রী অনুষ্ঠানে উপস্থিত ছিল). Among others, the guardians and some eminent persons of the locality attended the function, Farabi continues (অন্যদের মধ্যে অভিভাবকরা এবং স্থানীয় কিছু গণ্যমান্য ব্যক্তি উপস্থিত ছিলেন).
The Principal of PN College was the chief guest (পিএন কলেজের অধ্যক্ষ ছিলেন প্রধান অতিথি).
When did the function start? Flora asked (ফ্লোরা জিজ্ঞাসা করল, অনুষ্ঠানটি কখন শুরু হয়েছিল).
