Paul Visits Sundarpur - পল সুন্দরপুর পরিদর্শন করেন

A. In pairs, tell your partner the names of four things - one thing you like, one thing you dislike, one thing you love and one thing you bate (জোড়ায় জোড়ায়, তোমার সঙ্গীকে চারটি জিনিসের নাম বল - একটি জিনিস যা তুমি পছন্দ কর, একটি জিনিস যা তুমি অপছন্দ কর, এক জিনিস যা তুমি ভালবাস এবং একটি জিনিস যা তুমি পছন্দ কর). But don't tell him/her which ones you like, dislike, love and hate (তবে তাকে বলবে না যে তুমি কোনটি পছন্দ কর, অপছন্দ কর, ভালবাস এবং ঘৃণা কর). Your partner guesses which one you like/dislike/love/hate (তোমার সঙ্গী অনুমান করবে যে তুমি কোনটি পছন্দ / অপছন্দ / ভালবাসা / ঘৃণা কর). Follow the example given below (নীচে প্রদত্ত উদাহরণটি অনুসরণ কর).

Example:

A: Mathematics, washing clothes, rain, dry fish (গণিত, কাপড় ধোয়া, বৃষ্টি, শুটকি মাছ).

B: You like mathematics (তুমি গণিত পছন্দ কর).

A. You're right (তুমি ঠিক বলেছ).

B: You love washing clothes (তুমি কাপড় ধোয়া পছন্দ কর).

A. That's not right (এটা ঠিক নয়).

B: Then you love rain and hate washing clothes (তারপর তুমি বৃষ্টি ভালবাস এবং কাপড় ধোয়া ঘৃণা কর).

A: Yes (হ্যাঁ).

B: And you dislike dry fish (এবং তুমি শুটকি মাছ অপছন্দ কর).

A: No, I love it ( না, আমি এটা ভালোবাসি).

Answer:

A: English, working in the kitchen, winter, sweets (ইংরেজি, রান্নাঘরে কাজ করা, শীত, মিষ্টি).

B: You like English (তুমি ইংরেজী পছন্দ করো).

A: You’re right (তুমি ঠিক বলেছ).

B. Paul is a young volunteer of an international NGO in Bangladesh (পল বাংলাদেশের একটি আন্তর্জাতিক এনজিওর একজন তরুণ স্বেচ্ছাসেবক). He visits Sundarpur to talk to the villagers about arsenic poisoning (আর্সেনিক বিষক্রিয়া সম্পর্কে গ্রামবাসীদের সাথে কথা বলতে তিনি সুন্দরপুরে যান). Read the passage to know about his visit (তার সফর সম্পর্কে জানতে অনুচ্ছেদটি পড়).

Paul went to Sundarpur High School to meet the teachers and students there (পল সুন্দরপুর উচ্চ বিদ্যালয়ে গিয়ে সেখানকার শিক্ষক ও শিক্ষার্থীদের সাথে দেখা করতে গিয়েছিলেন). He was warmly greeted by all (তাকে সবাই উষ্ণভাবে অভ্যর্থনা জানিয়েছিল). He quite enjoyed the green coconut drink that was served on his arrival (তিনি তার আগমনের সময় পরিবেশন করা সবুজ নারকেল পানীয়টি বেশ উপভোগ করেছিলেন). He gave a short lecture to the students and explained how they would fight against arsenic poisoning (তিনি শিক্ষার্থীদের একটি সংক্ষিপ্ত বক্তৃতা দিয়েছিলেন এবং ব্যাখ্যা করেছিলেন যে তারা কীভাবে আর্সেনিক বিষক্রিয়ার বিরুদ্ধে লড়াই করবে). Paul also answered the questions asked by some students (পল কিছু শিক্ষার্থীর জিজ্ঞাসা করা প্রশ্নেরও উত্তর দিয়েছিলেন). He liked most of the questions (তিনি বেশিরভাগ প্রশ্ন পছন্দ করেছিলেন).
