Paul Visits Kobita's House - পল কবিতার বাড়ি পরিদর্শন করেন

A. In pairs, partner A thinks of something s/he really likes/dislikes and tells partner B about this through miming (জোড়ায় জোড়ায়, অংশীদার A এমন কিছু সম্পর্কে ভাবে যেটি সে সত্যিই পছন্দ করে/অপছন্দ করে এবং অনুকরণের মাধ্যমে অংশীদার B কে এটি সম্পর্কে জানায়). Partner B tries to guess what partner A wants to tell (অংশীদার B অনুমান করার চেষ্টা করে যে অংশীদার A কি বলতে চায়). Take turns as partner B mimes and partner A tries to guess (পালা বদল করে এবার B মুকাভিনয় করবে এবং A তা অনুমান করার চেষ্টা করবে).

For example, partner A may do the miming of picking a cup from the saucer, sipping tea from the cup and then making an expression of disliking to show that he really dislikes having the tea (উদাহরণস্বরূপ, অংশীদার A মুখাভিনয় করতে পারে পিরিচ থেকে কাপ উঠানো, কাপ হতে চায়ে চুমুক দেওয়া এবং এমন একটি অনুভূতি প্রকাশ করা যাতে বোঝা যায় যে, সে কোনো কিছু সত্যি অপছন্দ করে).

B. Read the following text about Paul's visit to Kobita's house and answer the following questions (কবিতার বাড়িতে পলের পরিদর্শন সম্পর্কে নিম্নলিখিত পাঠ্যটি পড়ুন এবং নিম্নলিখিত প্রশ্নগুলির উত্তর দাও).

Paul went to meet Kobita and her family the next day (পল পরের দিন কবিতা এবং তার পরিবারের সাথে দেখা করতে গিয়েছিলেন). He was in his blue trousers and a grey T-shirt (তিনি তার নীল ট্রাউজার এবং একটি ধূসর টি-শার্ট পরেছিলেন). Kobita's mother, Ms Shahana was a shy woman and she was reluctant to come in front of Paul (কবিতার মা, মিস শাহানা একজন লাজুক মহিলা ছিলেন এবং তিনি পলের সামনে আসতে অনিচ্ছুক ছিলেন). But Paul greeted her warmly in his newly learnt Bangla, "Kemon achen (কিন্তু পল তার সদ্য শেখা বাংলায় তাকে উষ্ণ অভ্যর্থনা জানান, "কেমন আছেন)?". Ms Shahana loved hearing a foreigner to speak Bangla (মিসেস শাহানা কথা বলার জন্য একজন বিদেশীকে বাংলা ভাষায় শুনতে পছন্দ করতেন). She welcomed Paul to her house (তিনি পলকে তার বাড়িতে স্বাগত জানান). Kobita started talking to Paul (কবিতা পলের সাথে কথা বলতে শুরু করল). She wanted him to write something for her school magazine (সে চেয়েছিল সে তার স্কুল ম্যাগাজিনের জন্য কিছু লিখুক). She served him lunch at noon (তিনি তাকে দুপুরের খাবার পরিবেশন করেন). Paul had plain rice, chicken curry, fish bhuna, dal and salad for lunch (দুপুরের খাবারে পল সাধারণ ভাত, মুরগির কারি, মাছের ভুনা, ডাল এবং সালাদ খেত). He liked the tastes of all those delicious items except the dried fish bhorta (শুঁটকি মাছের ভর্তা ছাড়া ওই সব সুস্বাদু আইটেমের স্বাদই তিনি পছন্দ করতেন). He is afraid of hot chilies (তিনি মরিচের ঝাল ভয় পান). He also does not like eating fresh onions (তিনি তাজা পেঁয়াজ খেতেও পছন্দ করেন না). So he skipped the mashed potato which had chopped fresh onions in it (তাই তিনি তাজা পেঁয়াজ কাটা আলু ভর্তা বাদ দিলেন). But Paul became very fond of the dessert made of rice, gur, milk and coconut (কিন্তু পল ভাত, গুড়, দুধ এবং নারকেল দিয়ে তৈরি মিষ্টান্নটি খুব পছন্দ করেছিলেন). He also enjoyed drinking tea made of fresh cow milk (তিনি তাজা গরুর দুধ দিয়ে তৈরি চা পান করাও উপভোগ করতেন). Paul thanked Kobita and Ms Shahana for the lunch (পল মধ্যাহ্নভোজের জন্য কবিতা এবং মিস শাহানাকে ধন্যবাদ জানিয়েছেন). In fact, he was tired of having vegetables and fried eggs for the last few weeks (আসলে, তিনি গত কয়েক সপ্তাহ ধরে শাকসবজি এবং ভাজা ডিম খেয়ে ক্লান্ত হয়ে পড়েছিলেন).
