Reporter: Why have you chosen this village for your work (কেন আপনি আপনার কাজের জন্য এই গ্রামকে বেছে নিলেন)?
Dr Mahmud: The people of my village do not get proper healthcare support because of poverty (আমার গ্রামের মানুষ দারিদ্র্যের কারণে যথাযথ স্বাস্থ্যসেবা পায় না). I have chosen the village to give them a little healthcare support (তাদের একটু স্বাস্থ্যসেবা সহায়তা দেওয়ার জন্য আমি গ্রামটি বেছে নিয়েছি).
Reporter: How much does a patient pay for the support (এই স্বাস্থ্যসেবা সহায়তা পাবার জন্য একজন রোগী কত ব্যয় করেন)?
Dr Mahmud: They pay very little (তারা খুব অল্প প্রদান করে). And very poor people get free treatment (আর অতি দরিদ্র মানুষ বিনামূল্যে চিকিৎসা পায়).
Reporter: Isn't the work very hard (কাজটা কি খুব কঠিন না)?
Dr Mahmud: Yes, it is (হ্যাঁ, এটা কঠিন). But I do it with pleasure (তবে আমি আনন্দের সাথে এটি করি).
Reporter: What is your future plan for the centre (এই কেন্দ্র নিয়ে আপনার ভবিষ্যৎ পরিকল্পনা কি)?
Dr Mahmud: You see, I'm getting old (দেখছেন, আমি বুড়ো হয়ে যাচ্ছি). So I'm waiting for a torch bearer (তাই আমি একজন আলোর দিশারীর জন্য অপেক্ষা করছি). Many students get MBBS degree in the country every year (দেশে প্রতি বছর অনেক শিক্ষার্থী এমবিবিএস ডিগ্রি পায়). I' m waiting for one of them (আমি তাদের একজনের জন্য অপেক্ষা করছি).
