প্রশ্ন A1. Imagine (মনে কর) that you are at a bus/railway station. A friend introduces (পরিচয় করিয়ে দেয়া) you to somebody. You couldn’t hear (শোনা) his name properly (সঠিকভাবে) for the sound around. Now make a conversation (কথপোকথন) among you, your friend, and the new person.

Imran: Anwar! I’d like to meet …….
Myself: Hello! I am Anwar. Sorry I couldn’t hear your name properly, because of the sound around.
The new person: Smith, John Smith. Nice to meet you Anwar.
Myself: Nice to meet you too. Where are you from?
প্রশ্ন A2. In the above conversation (A1 এর ii নং conversation) the officer asks the passenger (যাত্রী) first time “Where do you come from?” and again (পুনরায়) he asks the passenger “And where do you coming from now?” Why?

প্রশ্ন A2 এর Answer:
The first time when the officer asks the passenger ‘’Where do you come from?’’ he wants to know from which country he has come and the second time when he again asks ‘’And where are coming from now?’’ he wants to know exactly from where he is coming now.
প্রশ্ন A3. Joy asks (জিজ্ঞাসা করা) Sajed “Where do you come from, Sajed?” What could Joy ask him instead (পরিবর্তে)?
Answer:
Joy could ask him “Which place do you come from?’’
প্রশ্ন A4. Listen (শোন) to the conversation between (মধ্যে) Akash and Mamun, and between Rabeya and Mary again. What difference do you find (খুঁজে পেয়েছ in the question “what is she doing at the moment (এই সময়ে)?” and “what does she do (করে)?”

Rabeya and Mary Conversation:
Rabeya: I just don’t understand! That boy is screaming so much! Maybe he is hungry.
Mary: I don’t think so. Maybe he is crying (কাঁদিতেছে) for his mother.
Rabeya: Why, shat does she do?
Mary: She works part-time (খন্ডকালীন) at the Town Hall Library.
A4 প্রশ্নের Answer:
From the conversation between Akash and Mamun, and between Rabeya and Mary, we understand that the question ‘’What is she doing at the moment?’’means what work she is doing at the moment and ‘’what does she do?’’ means what she does for living.
